Anthology K Road (previously known as Anthology Lounge) is a bar and live music venue located at 375 Karangahape Road.
History[]
The idea for Anthology Lounge arose from a conversation Robert Knight had with friend Slash the night before Guns N’ Roses played Auckland, in February 2017. The guitarist wanted to find a cool, late night place to hang out after the show and Knight says they were at a loss to name a suitable haunt.[1]
The venue is located downstairs from the award-winning Italian restaurant Cotto, the building where the Rising Sun venue and hotel used to be located.[1]
